# Moving off Adjust: what to know before you switch

Moving off Adjust? See which raw data exports exist, the 45-day notice and 60-day deletion terms, how Meta pulls SKAN mappings and what to do with your links.

**Short answer**

Moving off Adjust means setting up raw data exports while you still have access, giving notice under the contract, handing SKAN to one new SDK and planning around an Enterprise domain you cannot delete yourself. Adjust's general terms say Customer Data is deleted **within 60 days** of termination.

## What does leaving Adjust involve?

Leaving Adjust is the work of exporting the data you want to keep, removing the Adjust SDK and its partner links, moving SKAN conversion value management and link domains to a new provider, and closing the contract on its published notice terms.

The work splits into five parts:

- **Data:** get raw data flowing to your own storage before the contract ends.
- **Contract:** find the renewal date and the 45-day notice point.
- **SKAN:** switch conversion value management to one new SDK and reconnect Meta.
- **Links:** plan the Enterprise or go.link domain change with Adjust support.
- **Partners:** disable data sharing per network in Campaign Lab.

## What can you export from Adjust before you go?

Adjust's raw data export options are server callbacks, sent to your servers or BI tools, and cloud storage uploads to Amazon S3 or Google Cloud Storage. Cloud storage uploads arrive as gzip-compressed CSV files in your bucket every hour.

- **Historical backfill or a raw lookback limit:** not published on the pages checked.
- **Datascape or Report Service API lookback:** not published.
- **Plan restriction for raw exports:** not published on the [raw data exports](https://help.adjust.com/en/article/raw-data-exports) page.

Because a backfill is not published, do not plan around one. Turn on cloud storage uploads early in the plan, and keep the files in storage you control. The guide to [keeping historical attribution data](https://switchmmp.com/guides/keep-historical-attribution-data/) covers what to store and how to label it.

## What do Adjust's published terms say about notice and your data?

Adjust's [general terms and conditions](https://www.adjust.com/terms/general-terms-and-conditions/) (Adjust GmbH version, last updated 24 October 2024) set the defaults below. Your Order Form may differ.

- **Term:** an initial 12 months, renewing automatically for further 12-month terms.
- **Notice:** written notice at least 45 days before the term expires to avoid renewal.
- **Downgrades:** also need 45 days' written notice before the renewal date.
- **Deletion:** after termination or expiry, Adjust "will delete the Customer Data within 60 days", unless law requires longer retention.
- **Data processing annex:** at the controller's choice, personal data is deleted or returned after the services end.
- **Code removal:** on termination the customer deletes all Adjust codes, including SDKs, APIs, tracker links and associated secrets.

The 60-day deletion line sets a firm outer limit for any late exports, so finish data pulls before the end date rather than after it.

## How does Adjust handle SKAN, and what changes?

- **Where the schema lives:** the Conversion Hub, with a Smart or Advanced setup (Advanced supports all 63 values).
- **SDK default:** the Adjust iOS SDK communicates with SKAdNetwork by default. `disableSkanAttribution` must be called before initialisation to switch this off.
- **Meta:** Meta pulls conversion value mappings from Adjust automatically once saved, so there is no connection URL to copy. Adjust shows as the connected partner under "Configure App Events for SKAdNetwork".
- **What changes:** Meta's SKAdNetwork page says your MMP should provide a unique URL to paste into "Import from partner app", so plan for importing the new provider's mapping by hand.
- **Facebook SDK:** while Adjust manages values, conversion value management in the Facebook SDK must be off.
- **Google Ads:** an Adjust flow for Google reading the schema is not published. Google advises setting the schema in one place.

**Conversion value:** the number from 0 to 63 an app reports to Apple's SKAdNetwork to describe what a user did after install. The guide to [remapping SKAN conversion values](https://switchmmp.com/guides/remap-skan-conversion-values/) covers the handover order.

## What happens to Adjust link domains?

- **Enterprise domain set-up:** an A record points your subdomain at an Adjust IP (the global IP is 185.151.204.100; Data Residency regions use others).
- **Hosting:** Adjust deploys the SSL certificate and serves the apple-app-site-association and assetlinks.json files for the domain.
- **Plan:** the primary Enterprise domain needs a TrueLink Core Standard or Enterprise package; extra domains are a paid add-on.
- **Changes:** once configured, the customer cannot edit or delete the domain; changes and deletion go through support.
- **Links after removal or account end:** not published.

Since Adjust serves the association files, moving the domain means pointing DNS at the new host, which then serves its own files. See the guide to [migrating deep links safely](https://switchmmp.com/guides/migrate-deep-links-safely/).

## Which partner integrations do you switch off?

Partners are set up under Campaign Lab > Partners > New partner, where you choose the network and app and optionally configure data sharing. Review each partner there and disable data sharing once the new provider's postbacks are confirmed.

## Does Adjust publish a guide for running two MMPs?

We did not find one. AppsFlyer's own Adjust-to-AppsFlyer guide gives two options: remove the Adjust SDK in the release that adds the new SDK, or keep both for a while, which it notes can cause double attribution and double charges with ad networks.

## Planning an Adjust timeline

Choose Adjust in the planner on the [home page](https://switchmmp.com/), then tick through the [migration checklist](https://switchmmp.com/checklist/). A neutral overview of other MMPs is at [Adjust alternatives](https://mmpcompares.com/adjust-alternatives/), and this [MMP migration playbook](https://linkrunner.io/blog/the-complete-mmp-migration-playbook-switching-platforms-without-losing-historical-data?utm_source=switchmmp&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=from-adjust) covers keeping historical data during a switch.

## Questions

**How much notice does Adjust's contract need?**

Adjust's published general terms ask for written notice at least 45 days before the term expires to stop automatic renewal. A downgrade needs the same 45 days before the renewal date.

**When does Adjust delete my data after I leave?**

The general terms say Adjust will delete Customer Data within 60 days of termination or expiry, unless the law requires longer retention. Finish your exports before the contract ends.

**Can I delete my Adjust Enterprise domain myself?**

No. Adjust says a configured Enterprise domain cannot be edited or deleted by the customer, and changes go through Adjust support.

**Does Meta need a new URL when I leave Adjust?**

Meta pulls SKAN mappings from Adjust automatically, so there was no URL to begin with. Meta's SKAdNetwork page says an MMP should provide a unique URL to paste into "Import from partner app" in Meta Events Manager.

**How long does it take to switch MMP?**

This site's planner pencils in about 7 to 12 weeks from contract check to retiring the old setup, most of it a 2 to 4 week parallel run. No vendor publishes a standard length; your release cycle, renewal notice and ad-network learning phases set the real pace.

**Can I run two MMP SDKs at the same time?**

Yes, for a while. AppsFlyer and Singular both publish guides for measuring with two MMPs, but SKAN postbacks go to only one MMP, TikTok supports one MMP at a time and X Ads does not support two.
